Welcome to the virtual home for the City of Ottawa Comprehensive Plan Update! The Plan will serve as a guide for the future, informed by ideas that YOU share: what you love about Ottawa, what you want to see in the future, and how we get there.  

This plan will be an update to the 2014 plan, with a specific focus on: Downtown Riverfront, I-80/ IL Route 71 Interchange Area, and Norris Drive (Rt. 6) Corridor

Over the next several months, the City will be working with residents, business owners, and local stakeholders to create a plan that discusses physical, social, and economic development. Let’s get started!

Get Involved

Attend an Event – We plan to have two more community workshops in the coming months, so stay tuned for more info about those and other events!

Follow the Project Site – Use the “Follow” button at the bottom of the website to submit your email address so you can receive project news notifications and other updates about the planning process.

Tell Your Friends – We want to hear from as many people as possible. Tell your friends about the Cultivate Ottawa comprehensive planning process and encourage them to get involved, as well.
